I dont think you can apply it underwater, but I have no experiance with it being applied underwater

Of course you can! How do you think we all glue our frags onto our live rock :)

What you shouldn't do is put the tube itself underwater. Always put some glue onto whatever you are gluing before you put it in the tank and do as Tosiek stated - give it a little twist and hold it for about 10 seconds and poof..done :)

This is the same glue we sell at the Frag Swap - for $5 per tube last I saw. I have found nothing that compare to it.

If you apply to your finger and do it fast enough to the rock,it's messy but can be done.

please try not to apply to your finger.....use a popsicle stick instead. and i'm not quite sure what instance would require you to apply the glue directly to the submerged rock?

"applying underwater"--do you mean sticking the tube underwater? you can... but the water will probably cure the unused portion left in the tube....i'm guessing since i've never put the tube in the water.

if you're trying to glue the unmounted frag directly onto the rock, just try "fitting" the frag to the area to make sure it fits and looks nice. remember the orientation of the frag. turn off the flow and then just place the glue directly on the base or underside of the frag and hold it in place for 20-30 sec. after a few minutes you can turn the flow back on.

i've tried several glue and find the ic-gel to be one of the best.;)

Please do NOT purposely apply the glue to your fingers. It is actually dangerous.

If you want to glue something underwater, just make sure you use the applicator tip and keep positive pressure on the tube the entire time. Basically you want a little bit coming out the entire time, not a stream, just enough pressure to make sure no water is going back into the tube. When you remove the tube from the water just use a paper towel to wipe the extra water and glue from the tip and recap it.

You apply it out of the water to something (coral frag) that you want to place in the tank. You then put the something in the tank. As stated, water is what cures (hardens) this glue, so you need a gob of it so there is still some inside. Gotta be somewhat quick or it all hardens.
