There is something about freshwater fish, either an enzyme or the lack of an enzyme, that makes them unsuitable for feeding to saltwater fish. While I have heard that guppies can be acclimated to salt water, I have also heard that they will not breed in it. Also, I doubt that salt water acclimation will alter their unsuitability....
i like to try to feed my fish a varied diet always mixing it up with frozen, flake. pellet freized dried ect have around 20 different foods.also live blackworms live brine baby and adult so wanted to do the same 4 the lion.fish shrimp ect..
I am going to start breeding some guppies in my room but I dont think I will use them to feed my lion. They did a study that showed that feeding lionfish freshwater feeders can give them lockjaw and other diseases/disorders.
