Just wanted to warn everyone to wear your goggles or even glasses when dealing with zoas/palys. I was trying to catch a fish and lifted the zoa rock out of the water as one squirted at me when it got exposed to air. Good thing none got in my eyes. You can actually tell by which polyps are capable of squirting by their bloated size and semi-transparent body due to it. Oh I read somewhere also don't mess with zoas/palys when you have an open would.

not just zoas/polyps, you should wear a safty googles for everything, gloves I'd probably wouldn't, I know a guy that was fragging with a tile saw, gloves got caught in the blade, OUCH! If you have any cuts on your hands, just wait till your would is fully recover first. Alot of allergic reaction may occur also, depending on person and species of the coral.
