switch to t5 dont like it

6 months ago i switch from mh to t5s went from 2 250 watt mh to 8 56 watt t5s
just cant get it down does anybody have the same problem?
i think i am going back to mh for sure

Which brand T5 fixture on which size tank? Many of the T5 fixtures out there suck IMO and are not worth while changing to IMO. I switched to T5's about 6 months and my growth and colors have been pretty good.

tek 8 bulb 56 watts each on 120 gallon tank
tryed every buklb out there just dont like the look i am a 20 k man just cant get that look and all my corals are turning blue

dude try this combo.i didnt like mine at first either. try in this order
uvl super attinic
giesemann actinic+
uvl 75/25
giesemann aquablue + 15k- perfect daylight without making it look yellow
giesemann attinic+
fiji purple- brings the reds and oranges out.

uvl super actinic.

i run a 6 bulb on my 90. the colors are amazing!! so far my zoas have been springing out like crazy i had to start this tank over because my son put a mop in the sump full of soap. the only thing i run different on my light isthat i subtract 1 super atinic and subtract 1 giesemann actinic plus. u have to play with the order of the light bulbs to get it right

jerl, i was wondering on the difference in your growth? have you noticed a big change about how fast they grow under different lights from MH to T5? my growth hasn't been the best which is why i may also be considering switching to MH, its just the bill costs a lot more.
i would suggest to go with the fixture that gives the most growth then you get to look at big colonies than small ones with a little better color

jerl y dont u get a fixture that have both mh and t5 int it so u can have both to play with i have the current outer orbit and i am quite happy with the fixture 2x250mh 4x39w t5 and 18 led
