I like to use a strict regimen of constant negative reinforcement coupled with pavlovian conditioning and electro shock. I start by publicly shaming the fish in front of its tankmates at feeding time. I ring a bell everytime im going to feed to get them in the mood. If the mandarin doesnt eat the frozen food I berate it. Ultimately the guilt and shame cause the fish to eat, but ironically it also seems to cause bulimia and then ur stuck with a mandarin with the propensity to binge and purge, which may cause nitrate issues if water changes are not consistent.
