Hi guys!!! im gonna set up a fuge on my 45 this coming friday and i had a few questions for yall before i do it. My plan is to get the aquafuge mp small by cpr. Its got about a 5 gallon fuge area and itll fit nicely in the limited space i have. I'm not sure whether i should use pvc or flex pipe, any preferences? I'm also wondering what the best overflow box is for non drilled tanks. I've looked at eshopps, cpr, and lifereef. The eshopps and lifereef use a j tube, the cpr design is a little different. The lifereef one caught my eye as the most well built, but im not sure. I'd love to know if yall have any experience with any of these and which u would reccomend.
I was also considering plumbing a uv sterilizer into the intake side of the fuge because putting it on the return line seems like it would just kill all the pods and stuff id like to make it back into the system. Is this doable? the other thing id like to do is add check valves to both the intake and return lines, any problems with that?
Last question is what size pump would yall reccomend for the return? I was thinkning a mag 7. With the four feet of head loss, it should be returning around 350-400 gph.
Please help me out guys, this is new territory for me and I'm sort of apprehensive about a siphon box, but its my only option at the moment.
