Sump was from my old set up at my office, which had 2 pumps running into 3" plumbing.
For this new set up, using 2" plumbing, I combined both bulk heads to the pump. The in out's are plumbed larger due to a 35' run to living room tank, one floor up from the basement fishroom. I know it is a bit of overkill. As for the check, it has arrows and insructions that say it can run vertical as well as horizontal. When horizontal, making sure the hinge for the flap is parallel to the floor, and facing up.

OK

So, I made the swap. I hate replumbing things ! because you never know if something is going to break during the job. Nothing went wrong, except That once I was into the job, I realized that I had not ordered the correct parts. I thought I had dry run my fitting configuration, and the sequence was correct, but I ended up being forced toput my true union ball valve where my re-plum connect to the existing rigid set up. My down time was about two hours, but I have seen some really dishartening things happen in the past.

Back to what I did. I poly bagged and rubber banded the two strainers in the sump. I cut out the supply end of the plumbing, and moved it back about 4", and reconnected the true union ball valve. I then cut out the check valve, and "T" for chiller/skimmer loop. I ran about 8' of the flex tube out through the wall. I have acess on the other side of the wall, in my workroom, so I hooked up true union ball valve, "T" for chiller/skimmer loop and check valve. end result is it worked !!!
My system is now very quite.

I need to order two more fittings (thank GOD ) my true union ball valve is threaded, so I will get re positioned at the pump some time next week.
