My 55 in progress/ 10K XM review

Kris, that is a nice tank.. I love the collection of xenia you have in there... Are they getting alot of flow? I have the one to the most right, what type or name is given to it?

How is your 10K XM Bulb working out for you? I'm having a little problem with mine. Its seem to not start from time to time and it take along time to start.

Yup, I took your advice and my new 55 gallon turned into my reef. =D. Of course intially it was a FW but, after thinking and thinking Reef was the way to go. It was the best move I could have made. Thank god the pet shop gave me big $$$ for the fish I traded back. Boy did that credit go quickly on supplies. Yup the two clowns are long gone.

Sup buddy? How u been? Tank actually got turned into a 30g. Actually starting to look more and more like I'm getting where I wanted. All I have left to buy is a return pump and my skimmer. Would a Mag 7 be too much for a 30g?

Nope its going strong for 4-5 months now. Never got stuck and I've never cleaned it either.

Thanks spykes. I'm trying my best to make this tank one that looks like a real show tank. The sump and skimmer are probably going to greatly increase the stability of the tank. Also what do you guys think I should dose my tank with? I've heard some people talk about B-ionic? How does it work.

B-ionic is a two part liquid calicum and carbonate (alk.) additive from ESV. Works instead of a calcium reactor, or in conjuction with one to set the levels initially.

You add one part (carbonate) and the other part (calicum) to your tank as needed.
