Salt mix Discussion

I'm sure theres posts on this all over the place but i figured it wouldnt be bad to start a new one up.

What salt mix do you use and why?

How do you do your water changes?

What salt mix have you used in the past and have had bad experiences with?

What Vendor would you buy it from/cheapest?

Do you have Reef/Fowlr?

I use Instant Ocean just because its priced right in my area, and its been recommended, i wish i myself had more input on this topic but since i am still a "noob" for lack of a better worb, or a beginner, i havent used anything else and have had no problems.

i currently switched back to D&D h2o.
i have used ESV, RC, TM and red sea. ESV is on par with the D&D, i just didn't like going through the extra steps of measuring 4 components.

RC was always inconsistent from each batch and TM and RS were high in phos.

i do water changes once a month now and i premix the water a day before i am ready to use.

D&D is rarely on sale so it all depends who has the best shipping options. i think PA has a $12 flat rate per bucket right now.
