Pump for ATO

Hi,

What pump do i need to use to pump water from my reservoir to my tank - the distance is 5' of head pressure but the tank is only 34G. i might use about a quart ever two days.

Any suggestions?

i use a mj1200 for mine with about a 4' head presssure. i also have a 34g tank and i can hear the ato turning on a few times a day.

I used an aqualifter pump, very slow but gets the job done. Only like 12 bucks too.

I'm also using an mj1200 for my ATO, pumping up about 5'. Granted it's a recirc pump but it has better head height than any other small pump I know of. It's cheap and replacement parts are available.

hey rich, i use a mj900 but i don't have height issue to deal with. i think you'll be good with the 1200.
