Great New Reef Store in Brooklyn!!!!!!!!

I passed by a new reef store (not open for business yet)located on 12th ave and 60th street in Brooklyn....Aquarium Solutions. I was speaking to the owner for a while (he may build me a 120g tank) and he was explaining his future setup. Everything is going to be run by high end deltec equipment. He plans on keeping low nutrient systems that should keep extremely colorful SPS and LPS + softies. The owner seems to know his stuff. It should be about 2-3months before they are fully operational.
This may be a bad thing for me to have a high end SPS store so close

Guys, the owner has an amazing 240gal SPS system in his home. He knows what he is doing and everything should be top notch. It's not rocket science, although when you look at our LFS's you would think so . Huge skimmer, little feeding, high flow, and good lighting = happy, colorful, fast growing SPS

Forgive me for not talking about zoo's (colorful aptasia's) or fish(nitrate + phosphate makers)HEHE

or LPS (long tentacle SPS killers)

UPDATE

Aquarium Solutions is open for busniess! I'm going to pass by sat afternoon to see what's going on. I'll try to take some pics if it looks good!

Owner is a friend of mine and is a really nice guy named Patrik. He really knows his stuff and should be an asset to the reefing community although it would have been nicer to have opened in Manhattan (still can't believe that the only guy the mkt can support is he who will remain nameless).

I went there yesterday. The store is still in the process of putting up the tanks and finishing up the plumping.

They do have like 20 tank of salt and fresh setup. They are a vaierty of saltwater fishes. From clown to tangs to trigger, etc. The fishes look healthy as I think they just arrived.

They don't have any coral for sale yet. Maybe later and the store is fully completed.

I stopped by saturday and bought a couple pieces of really nice Marshall island rock. Pat said he would have corals in about 2 weeks. He does have some cool fish in there now and a nice display of deltec equipment If you go there be sure to get the tour of his filtration room......words cannot described it....

i stopped by on saturday also. only was able to stay for liek 5 min i had dinner reservations with the g/f and she was given me that look.

The store looks like it is very nicely setup. They were setting up the coral tanks when i was there but no corals for a couple of weeks. Hey Rich did you happen to ask what lighting hes running on his coral tanks?

He has aquamedic HQI fixtures with T5 actinics....not sure whaat halide bulbs he's using though.
