MEAN WELL
60 W Single Output 48 V AC/DC Switch Power Supply with Short Circuit Protection
PHILIPS LUMILEDS
Luxeon K2 SMT Emitter High Power LED Cool White Lambertian 1000 mA 113.5 Lumens
PHILIPS LUMILEDS
Luxeon III Emitter High Power LED Royal Blue Lambertian 700 mA 3.7 V 450 mW
any opinions would be greatly appreciated!!!

No experience with the Phillips LED but the specs are pretty close to the CREE that many are using so as long as the price works worth a try.
The Mean Well drivers I like no playing with power supply and buckpucks or custom dimming; all built in and easily controllable from APEX and RK with ALC, could also DIY a controller via Ardiuno.

How many LED are you planning for the 120? I may try my next attempt for the same tank, was planning to use 72 (36 per side 50/50 mix) adding another 12 to 18 per side if I felt it needed it.

I’ve used RapidLED (http://www.rapidled.com) for the first try and will most likely use them again or Reef LED (https://www.reefledlights.com)

as of now i was planning a 50 /50 mix but 30 per side, spaced out over 14" of the tank width, starting 4 inches in from either side front to back
Thanks for the info qy7400 and Keith will definitely be checking out those sites

Ultimately my other question being how much could the tech have changed if the specs on the different LEDs are pretty much par
