i have a tank that is 8ftx 30 wide x 36 tall....just wanted to know what kind of led light do i need to put on my tank if i wanted to do some softies and fish....

led is def the way to go expescially for a softies tank if you want the shimmer. Halides use too much energy and are too strong for just a softies tank. I just picked up a nice LED fixture. Its as strong as 2x400w MH fixture and uses no heat and a lot less energy. Def go LED. However, dont know a lot about them yet lol so i cant help you decide on exactly which fixture
