They're the real deal, unlike a number of others, which may carry the name and are very similar in shape, color and appearance but carry a much lower price tag, usually in the $30-$70 range. A real Candy Basslet comes from deep water and will carry a high price tag, unlike the others which are from shallower waters.

Im not saying they are worth the $$$$ but if you see a carmabi in person it is in a different league completely from the swales and swissguard basslets. An absolutely stunning fish. I love the other basslets as well BTW. Be aware that the swales is very shy and you will rarely see it if there are other fish in the tank.
