lets try to find out what caused this! more corals might not be the best solution to the problem at this time. I want to know if this was the tank with the homemade live rock structure epoxied and glued ?

I didn't upgrade the tank but I had to do a large water change in order to lift the tank onto the new stand. I am not doing corals for a while or at least until I can master the water quality. I am checking my parameters now. I did not use any epoxies, or anything. I never even introduced the homemade structures into the water because I did not like them. Nothing new was introduced to the tank. I keep my salt level at 1.023. And someone the salt level dropped very low while conducting my water change. I don't know what went wrong. But I think that did it.

Did you check the water in the bucket if you have 1.023 in the tank then the bucket of water should read 1.25 to keet the salt up, the temp of the water should keep up with the tank or close to it. You might have ensued a mini cycle.

lol yea i figured now that i think about. i would have moved the old water into buckets and just put it back in once the tank was moved. the water change deff didnt help the stress level.

I'm less concerned about a 100% water change, but more concerned about how long the rock was exposed to air and possibly drying out during the process. especially if there are sponges or other living organisms on there. Changing water itself shouldn't cause a cycle unless there are dying matter in the water.
