Bulb configuration

so I m ordering 6 t5 ho bulbs on friday for the 65 gallon Im switching over to and this is what Im thinking for a combo (ill be keeping mainly sps)

3 ati blue+
1 uvl actinic white
1 geiseman power chrome true actinic (420)
1 ge starcoat 6500k

I think this combo will give me enough par for fast growth, and the insane flourescent "pop" Ive seen in some other members tanks

the only one Im not sure about is the actinic white, I was torn between that and the geiseman midday sun bulb but I think Ill be happier with the actinic white.

I was thinking front to back: true actinic, blue+, actinic white, blue+, starcoat 6500, blue+ (the first two in front will be a seperate fixture for dawn/dusk)

What do yall think?

I have a 6 bulb set up on my 65 and I run a Blue actinic, ATI blue special, Fiji Purple, ATI blue+, ATI blue special, ATI blue +, Although I'm thinking of replacing the Actinic with another Blue +

I'd lose the actinic and go with either another blue plus or a blue special.

The KZ purple and actinic white do pretty much the same thing for color with the actinic white having more PAR.

kk how about three blue+, one ati aquablue, one uvl aquasun, one ati procolor?

I want the absolute bluest light my corals will thrive under so 3-4 blue+ is a must and i like the procolor to bring out the reds, Im gonna go with atleast one 6500 or 10000k, and the last bulb is the one Im stuck on. I dont want a washed out look when all the bulbs are on, and I like having a touch of purple.... idk I think Ill prolly end up buying one of each bulb I might like and playing with it till I find something I like.

Go with the Fiji purple as the last bulb, My tank doesn't even look that blue at all with the bulbs I have, It has just enough white for my taste. And just use 2 ATI Blue special, they are 12k bulbs and actually glow white when they are on.

3 ati blue plus, 1 ge 65k, 1 uv 12k, 1 uv 75\25 this is what i run on my tank and right around a 14k appearance, told ya come by and lmk on this weekend for the switch over

true, what brand ? mines on a ati sunpower 6 bulb 36" have 2,4 are b+ and ge 6500 for sunrise and sunset, b+,b+, 75-25,ge 6500,uv 12k,b+

I was hoping to avoid the hatefest that is sure to come when I name my fixtures. I have a wavepoint 4x 39w that I was going to use the procolor, the aquablue and two blue+. The second fixture is a solarmax 2x 39w with 6 led moonlights that I am gonna use a super actinic and a blue+ for dawn/dusk. I know these fixtures are not on par with ati or tek, but I've know several people who are very happy with their wavepoints even with stock bulbs. Im pretty confident that upgrading to high end bulbs and running 6 39w's should give me what I need for a 65 gallon tank. If not, theres always next paycheck...

Im hoping to pick up a bunch of bulbs from a mr member whos got them for sale, hes got a great variety and I can always order a ge starcoat, an actinic white or 75/25 later if im not happy with the color.

NYreefnoob, give me a call tommorrow or meet me over at Al's after work. Im picking up all the new equipment then, and Im hoping to grab 7-8 bulbs from anen either tom or sat. The switch is going down sat. evening and Id love the help if your not busy

Ok so I just ordered 3 blue+, 1 aquablue special, 1 ge starcoat 6500k, 1 ati true actinic 03, and 1 uvl actinic white. I figure Ill just play around with them and sell or hold on to w/e I dont use
