Acan lighting the real deal?

Crazycorals, I just actually visited with james ( Dickens) from acan lighting and got to see his tanks which all all under acan leds.(his refugium is even lit with leds) you will have no problem growing anything with acan leds. Very very impressive company.I tried saving a few bucks when I switched to leds and regret it. Hope this helps.

how was the spread? what leds did you buy that you regreted? i just think the pacific suns at this point has more power for sure and the t5 addition really has me sold, im just concerned about the spread these things can give off.

You do know that the LED/T5 Phobos units are $3k for a 3' unit?

i am aware of that pecan, for me i want the best now that doesnt mean that $$ is not a problem but if im going to do and do it right i think at this point pacific sun is the way to go, my tank is 27 inches deep they use 3w cree bulbs and the t5s im hoping should be no problem for a 36 inch wide tank, what your input on this?

I agree that it is a good choice. You would be utilizing six 160w LED arrays in conjunction with the T5s to blend out the colors. The Phobos are pretty wide units so if you have the fixtures up just a bit, I think you would create a nice lighting system for your 300D.
