How to seed, and what to seed in a refugium?

I do have a refugium, and it is currently seeded with copepods. If it has more than that I do not know. It's about 6 inches of sand, live rock, and chaeto.
I wanted to know if i could seed it with more, or what else i cold do to help my tank naturally.
The fuge isn't big at all, it fits in the back of the aquapod chambers.
Any suggestions, and methods would be appreciated.

Xenia helps IIRC. I have a similar fuge with the DSB, Lr and chaeto. I have what look like copepods. I am thinking of getting a LR with some xenia on it. I think it helps with the Phophates.

i have xenia too. i was thinking of adding stuff as a food source too

I added some live rotifers like a year ago whitch are used as food source for baby fish.They are to small for biger fish to eat them but At night i see them all over the place and they are like a micro clean up crew very cool to watch

ahh I see.. wow thats interesting. a coral absorbing phosphates! my xenia are in the display so hopefully they are doing their job up in there

I think there is no absolute evidence. I have read about half and half. I figure it can't hurt in the sump if I keep it under control for the most part.
