My temp has been licking 80 the whole day yesterday and I'm thinking of hooking up another fan and buy 3 more gallons of RO for my top-off just to keep it where I want it in 78; to those with a/c or central cooling, you are very lucky.

84-85? o_O ain't that a little too high and how are your livestock handling it? What thermometer do you use, if you don't mind me asking.

nyc reefer: from what I read online, to be on the safe end it shouldn't pass 82; probably around 78(?). Mid 80's seems to be working fine for Greg; as long as it's consistent, it should be fine I guess.

jaa1456: where do you have your tank and do you have a fan? 78's a pretty nice comfortable number.

My tank is in the living room, I have the 2 stock fans in the lighting fixture. I also have my cieling fan running all summer, Never thought about it until you asked where the tank was located. I keep my house around 75 degees.

Tanks are in the bedroom, both have T5 and led, and both are 78 at all times. 10,000 BTU A.C. and fans work wonders, along with temp probes and heaters. Chillers just make my room hot, I HATE them.

Everyone seems to have their tank at a nice high 70 and low 80...I panic whenever my temp goes past 80. giminicorp, has your tank ever reached 88? that's pretty high IMO but I'd like to know how your livestock handle that temp.
