This is not my point . See this is the problem with people now at days they only listen to what people say and never do a journey of there own of finding out whats good gooder best and better . Yes the ATI is a great fixture but alot of you are in the dark when is come to other products that are out there that are better then what every body sayes thay are . Just cause they say and have good reviews doesnt mean that thats the best in the market . No its not . Its all on demand. ATI years ago no one heard of this but overseas it was a big thing now it in the states and is taking off . If you go to reef central and zeovit forums this fixture is the best out there and has really great reviews from these site and even says that it out ranks the ATI in light out put and quality.

I have owned a Tek and ATI and I can talk based on what I have seen. Now no one said what you were saying might not be true but when you start a discussion about something come with all the facts. No one here is going to do a search because no one is interested in looking for something they don't need or want. Now if I was in search of a better lighting system maybe. So don't complain that no one wants to use the search feature on their computer because you said something is better than something else.
Now like I said the model you posted DOESN'T come in a bulb configuration less than 8 lower than that you get the mini.

Like i said this is the problem with people . When you were in school did the teacher give you the answers or did you have to figure it out your self with some hits from the teacher. heres a big hint the greem reefer did a par test with the older model and the ATI check it out

Dude we are all adults here why are you insisting people do a search. Bottom line no one cares, if they are getting good growth with the ATI fixture why go spend more money on something else. Stop being lazy and back up your claims with links or numbers.
To me the extra par isn't worth the hundreds of dollars. I could use that for a ozone reactor or coral.

yeah i posted the link, maybe u ought to check it out. you said it had wayyyyyyy better par, please show us where or a link, as pmoneyt stated i am not going to search for it as i dont need to. as i said ive had alot of t5 fixtures and retro's and going off what i have owned, tek, 3 times, current once besides my 20" t5 ice cap retro. champion lighting retro, and some other b.s retro and now own a ati. and i have been running t5's 90% of my 6 yr's in the hobby, had couple of mh's and had led also. if your are going to start a thread saying that it is the best please help us non-comp people find where you got the par is that much better, btw how many types of t5's have you had and brands,

This is how I feel. Most of the responses you get here are and will be from past or current ATI owners. If you are going to convince us that our fixtures that we have researched over and over on and spent a premium on is not as great as we feel (and I'm sure most of us feel that it's the best T5 out there for the build, quality, and its ability to grow corals), you need to do a better job. And trust me, we did our research. It's like going to a car forum and "scream" in your thread title that BMW is not the best, you'll hear it from BMW owners. They can argue endlessly on specs of the car, as we would of the light, but it's only natural that people take pride in the things they own and question your claim that may diminish the value and intelligence of their purchase.
Also, the post below does not help your case when you come off saying people nowadays only listen to what others say and don't form their own judgement from experiences, especially when we have owned our ATIs, and you failed to tell us if you have even owned both to make the claim in such a way that you so righteously point out below as the problem with people nowadays. Doesn't it sound a bit contradictory?

I dont think he was trying to come here and sell these fixtures to us, I think he just wanted to point out that if theres someone out there looking for the absolute best lighting fixture and money is not an object that the sfigoli sp* might be worth checking out. When people say a fixture is better than another, that can mean alot of things: how cool it runs, how long bulbs last, features that that individual finds valuable, the par output, the materials used, the gaurantee offered with it, customer service from the company, the quality of bulbs, if it even comes with bulbs... etc etc etc. ATI makes the standard high end work horse t5 fixture that seems to meet the needs of most people at a price that is doable. The sfigoli is the higher end fixture, whether its better than the ati is another issue. All he said originally was that the sfigoli was the benz and the ati the lexus of the t5 world, and I think hes right, but some lexus are faster than some benz's.
Its funny how the ati owners are the ones getting all pi$$ed off lol. (<3 Rick, no disrespect brotha)
If ur gonna make a claim about output or par you better be ready to back that up. People turn to these forums for advice and it would suck to see someone spend all that extra money on that light under the assumption that it produces more usable light than a ati pm because you said so w/o some proof to back that up. And honestly a properly cooled ballast with a high end individual reflector like both of these units have are not gonna vary much in par, how and why could they?

Who has the best prices on ATI fixtures? I'm in the market and this thread just sold me on them. Lol
The problem with this company is the lack of u.s. Customer support and the wait time for replacement parts and repairs.
A couple years ago several people got screwed when the ballasts crapped out on a bunch of mh fixtures. A bunch of people spent alot of money and were "left in the dark"

I wasnt pissed off. what annoyed me was the fact that he didnt even come with data and pretty much said do a search and when asked he said we need to use our computers to search for the data. To me that wasnt cool, i would buy it if i wanted to but i dont see the need. I like what I got and I understood what he meant but his attitude sucked when we asked him for some data.

Let's see some pictures of your setup, maybe some side by side with an ATI and some solid test data that shows this "best light" is 100x better. Since you are trying to convince people to take a "journey of their own", let's share your actual experience and some FACTUAL data.
