is 8 bulbs overkill?

Hi guys, I've been looking for a new fixture like an ati or tek light 6 bulb t5 to replace the two fixtures I have now, and someone mentioned they have a 6 bulb nova pro for sale. The cool thing about the nova pro is its only 12 inches wide so I could still run my solarmax fixture for dawn/dusk/moonlights. It would be a total of 8x39 over a 65 gallon. I think an 8x39 power module would be too hardcore for the tank, but since the two fixtures Id be using to get the 8 bulbs are less efficient than the ati I think it might be the perfect amount of light for the tank.

I would run (front to back)

uvl actinic white
Blue+

Would this be overkill for an sps dominant 65 gallon tank?
