torch or galaxia

just want some general input which coral need more room galaxia or torch i got my money on galaxia just want to see what some others say

Galaxia needs lots of room.

Galaxia can reach out to over 8''. The Pineapple Galaxia can stretch out even feather depending on flow but sometimes they don't stretch out for some reason.

i know they need alot of room i had cut my colony in 3 cause it was taking up way too much room and man the sting cell come so far its crazy

IMO Galaxea is one of the most aggressive coral I've ever had. As already stated, I've seen their nematocysts reach as far as 8" from the body and sting anything within its reach. If the Galaxea is in a corner of a tank, they will only need about 8". However, if the coral is placed in the center of a tank, then it'll need 8" in all directions.....and THAT takes up a ton of room.

In contrast I've seen my Torch reach almost as far as the Galaxea but don't seem to be nearly as aggressive or toxic as the Galaxea.

i have both and they need alot of room at night the glaxia has long stingers

+1 I have a torch low n on the sand in my tank against a rock n away from any coral. I just dont trust it, but it looks just so damn colorful i love it.
