Everything looks really stressed out as of now as it was getting electrocuted (breaker didnt jump)

i was wondering if the outlets near the tank were gfci's?

if not this would be a good time to switch to them.

I know they have a questionable rep, but they work in cases like this.

I have one regular outlet behind my tank, your story is going to make me change it asap.

wow. that's not good at all. I wonder what happened, bad luck aside.

this is something that's really important for all of us to figure out.

did you test the outlets?

your poor mom must have been freaking out, has she recovered?

im pretty stumped as well as my elec boxes and overall elec. system has been upgraded since we bought this house

test the outlets? for current?

My mom was SO freaking out she left me about 4 messages and she rarely does that. Shes fine but she says her legs are sore from running around w/ wet slippers as it was a bit cold in my room. Shes calm now, she tried her best to help the situation, it was actually refreshing to see she cared about my tank.:)

thanks for asking

by testing the outlets I meant just pressing the red button on the outlet's and seeing if it pops. supposedly you should do this once in a while.

Whew! I just finished and everything is stable for now...

The rock is all in the rubbermaid tub and my main tank show no serious sign of distress and everything is polyping, that tunze is working overtime right now. I Thank each and every one person that offered their help I really appreciate it and im glad to be affiliated w. such a caring dynamic group of people

Im still a bit upset but im trying to look up as nothing has died, and better yet noONE did as electrocution is a very real danger w/ our hobby

Heres some pics of the carnage

I also notice that you have Hot water heating system ,which if would install in a house ,water going through the heaters would be set at 180 to 195degree
