was looking at aquacon.com and they have tahatian black live sand . is this as good as regular live sand . it's the same price as the regular color sand and the site says its the same.

Buddy, safe some $$ and get a regular sand. I can give you cup or two from my tank to seed it..

BTW, i have two buckets from old tank..dry and you can use it.. FREE

hey mshur how u doing buddy. well it is going to be a month or so until i get the tank up i'm just buying all the equip first. but i will def take u up on the offer for a cup of your sand when the time comes. the price of the black sand is the same as the regular sand

I like the black sand but I'm skeptic if Ur doing Sps I don't think u get enough reflection off the sand to have coral grow correct but lmk. If I'm wrong if I was setting up another tank upstairs in like a room everyone sees I would do it black looks sick color it will be awesome!

really the snails and other critters won't eat up all the poop from the fish ... don't want to have to vacumm my sand thats to much work..

you would need to be the judge of that.... you could have a sandstorm if there is to much or not move any crap off the sand if there is to little. ive been out of the loop for a little bit but it all depends if you have a vortech or 2 or something you can dial back....

remember you need to get a supreme clean up crew such as sand sifters thats where alot of people go wrong. they never get enough to take care of the whole tank and then they wonder why there sand looks like crap or they dont have enough flow in the tank :)...
