Anyone have good experience with majano elimination with fish predators?
I was thinking about the tassled filefish but will it go after SPS and clams? Racoon butt is out of the question cause I also have acans and lobos in there.
majano is a pita wont die even if dried out. my friend is having the same problem he went and got a racoon but as of yet its not eatting it. gl keep us posted
I got 2 nice sized peppermint shrimp and once and a while I notice one pop up and a day or 2 later it's gone I have a bunch in my sump I'm thinking about throwing a p shrimp in there
pepperment shrimp ont eat mojano's, they will eat aptasia, warren it's a 5-50 chance, albano has one but is suspect oto have eaten zoa's which they are known to do, maybe you can get a loaner to do the job then take it out, pretty easy to catch as they are slow
my copperband keeps mojanos in my tank in check I have almost 50 of them at one point he has eaten all but the biggest one that is the size of a quarter he picks it but has eliminate yet it's also in a weird spot
all the small ones he has devoured
Warren I'd def. try the bristle tailed file that LI Andy suggested. I've had several in my reef for many months and they certainly will take out aiptasia and I would bet Majanos too. They do pick around at things, but in a large enough system I don't find they do much if any damage. They are also pretty easy to catch if you do need to remove one. I'd term them a very acceptable risk. FYI Dom gets them regularly.
