I bought a 50g Cube tank used. The only problem I have its not reef ready. The guy said the sides and the bottom is tempered glass. I know most tanks usually the bottom is tempered. Soo my question is how can I tell if the sides are tempered? Is there something I can buy?

there was a thread somewhere about using a laptop monitor to tell if the glass is tempered or not. im too lazy to dig it up, but a quick google should find it.

ok so the bottom of the glass says tempered. Theres a sticker on the top front that says built by MJG in feb 2009 with a boat anchor logo. Does anybody know what manufactor MJG could be?? I tried googling it, no luck.

lol, so my question is, is the whole tank tempered?
I doubt they would spend the extra money to tamperer the entire tank BUT I'm not 100%. If I where you I would contact Marineland in the morning and give them the specs along with the inspectors initials and they should be able to look it up for you. Much easier than have the tank shatter in a million pieces.
