Just wondering if it was a good idea to scrape some coralline algae from a member tank and put it in mine to seed my tank? If so, can some give me a bottle of it?

Coraline growth is a great sign that your parameters are in check for all your other corals to grow.i wouldnt push to hard for coraline, if it spreads too much it will out compete corals if dosing isnt strict, and sufficient. and imo it ruduces the porousness of LR by growing over them.
you need to keep up with the demand no matter what or else your levels will drop.i do agree, but once it starts to really spread it does compete with corals because its rate of absorption of cal, alk, mag is much greater than LPS and SPS

Thats the key, keeping up with the demand of your system.

I'm not trying to shoot you down but I have a problem with this statement.i wouldnt push to hard for coraline, if it spreads too much it will out compete corals if dosing isnt strict, and sufficient. and imo it ruduces the porousness of LR by growing over them.
Getting back to your question. If you don't have any in your system I would say yes it would be good to seed your tank.Just wondering if it was a good idea to scrape some coralline algae from a member tank and put it in mine to seed my tank? If so, can some give me a bottle of it?
