I bought a Red Long Tentacle Anemone about a month ago and it will not stay in one location in my tank. Every 2 to 3 days it moves. Is this indicative of a problem? Its seems healthy and eats shrimp once a week. thoughts?

thanks

They will continue to move around until theyre completely happy with the light and flow in a particular spot. One of the reasons I waited to get corals in the tank until after mine seemed to settle in, that way it never knocked over or stung any frags.

As long as your parameters are on point, dont wory, let it do its thing and itll find a spot on its own.

Also go get some silversides theyre cheap and you can cut them to whatever size you want to fit the size of the nem just right.

Are you sure it's an LTA? (I've never heard of a red one, is why I'm asking)

If it is, what's your sand bed depth? Where were you trying to place the 'nem? Do you have pictures?
