The year in review as far as my tank's equipment goes, upgraded my two Vortech pumps to MP40's, upgraded my skimmer to a SWC Extreme 160 cone, upgraded my lighting to Aquactinics 250w MH/T5, automated my two part w/Aquamedic pumps, started a SMR1 reactor w/Np pellets, RK controller, and added a chiller. All in all a great year, improved my systems capability and equipment to improve my animals survival and confort. Share what have you done in 2010 as far as your tank?

Got in the hobby late 2009 with a biocube, that lasted 2 months and I went to a 135, had the tank setup about 6-7 months with 3x150 mh and 2 x mp40s and an ASM G2. Lost all my fish and corals :/. I decided to rebuild and do things right. Few months later here I am with a 180 with Tek 6x80 watt fixture, 2 Tunze 6100 w/ 7095 controller, RO Hurricone Cat 2 Internal skimmer and a lot more appreciation for the hobby.

With the new setup water changes are simpler no more carrying buckets upstairs and ato is automatic.

Hoping the transition from 2010 to 2011 will be a good time for my tank. Right now I have 4 fish in it and trying to take things slow.

Thats the key in this hobby slow and steady, patience or you can ruin everything. I overcame a partial loss of livestock, back in May when I had a blackout for over a day but now everything is doing well again. Goodluck in 2011, Happy Reefing!!!!

Added one more Mp-40, an ozonizer, and one more socket eight for the Neptunes controller. Changed from frozen PE mysis to Newlife Spectrum dry food. Started using Kalwasser in my top-off water. Also got a new 150G wide tank that I need to transfered my animals to. Anybody wants to give a hand, lmk ?

I'm there just say the word.:splitspin

The year in review, lets see, I added 2 Mp-40w's, SRO-XP2000 cone skimmer, upgraded from a 20 gal B to 40 gal B sump, installed RKE, Scrapped MH/T5HO DIY lighting and upgraded to Aqua Illumination SOL Super Blue LED lighting system, beat 1 1/2 year battle with cyano (with the concentrated help of Pauliwalnuts and the other MR members who helped, I thank you) by switching from RC to ESV salt, installed GFO & Carbon reactors and finally started putting corals in my tank after almost 2 years of frustration. YAHOO!!!! now I'm finally enjoying my tank. Almost forgot the Midwest aquatics sulfur denitrifier, but I think that was back in 09.

WOWI spent a lot of money in 2010, I cant let the wife see this thread.:shhh:
