Noticing differences in your tank after time away

I often leave my tank for a week or two at a time and am always amazed at the growth of my tank's inhabitants. When we stick our hands in the tank and stare at it everyday it is really difficult to notice growth.

This trip (left Dec. 23rd and came back today) I had an apartment-sitter who took care of my tank and I was in touch with him daily so there was no stress this trip. When I got back I was shocked at the size of my RBTA and the color of some of my SPS. Overall a good day and I just wanted to share. :splitspin

I can totally agree I sometimes feel like a fish myself with the amount of time I spend with my arms in my tank making adjustments and picking up frags and moving my power heads lol it's a wonderful addiction !!

I love coming home after some time away and finding new growth, or even something you just overlooked because your so "in my face" with the tank. It's always good to come home and find your tank in good shape.

I am betting anyone who frequents this site stares at their tank a lot and becomes the butt of some jokes from non-reef friends and family. Coming home to your tank in good order AND seeing growth is a euphoric experience!

My clown did jump in the overflow during my absence.

I got this app on my iPhone called home camera it goes threw the web can on ur laptop but the computer goes into saver mode and that stays on so I canview it all day at work to make sure my lights go on n off when I'm not around n to make sure it's not low on water emergency stuff while I'm away

Ya damn skippy I love watching the hermits rummage through the sand like homeless in a trash pale it's another reminder of lifes food chain, and at night you see the ocean version of street life lol
