dont know what it is but that was the first rock i ever bought for my tank in aug of 2009 and it was a lil speck back then and now its just growin and spreading there is quite a few pieces on that rock now

I've got a couple of those things but much smaller. I have no idea what they are! But they don't seem to be hurting anything and they are a nice color

they look good i agree, and they definately dont hurt anything, was just tryin to figure out what the heck they could be

Its either a sponge or a macroalgae. Would need closer pics to be 100% sure.

yes and it was off so i guess i have to put it on ? whats it do anyway?

i used to have some of that in my tank when i first set it up, it stopped growin but every once in a while i see bits of it startin to grow in different spots, would def like to know what it is and how to get it to grow or get rid of it if necessary

The macro setting on your camera lets it focus on objects closer to the lens (about ~4 inches I think) compared to its regular setting which focuses at about 12 inches or so.
Take a picture with flash on and off while using the macro setting and see which ones comes out best and post it for us to see.
