Do leather corals sting each other?

I want to place two frags pretty close together and wanted to ask this before i do. I was hoping they would split a a piece of lr side by side

Leathers dont sting but they do shed layers. Im not sure if the 2 would be compatible or not. What type of leathers are they?

one is a neon green tyree leather (toadstool?), the other one looks exactly the same but all reddish/orange.

I would give them room...not only do certain leathers shed their mucus they release chemicals as well

While leathers do release several different chemical compounds depending on species, some also have sweeper tentacles and can sting.

My bad, I had no idea there were leathers that had sweepers. What type?
