I recently posted here and got a few great answers but nothing really helped with my "problem."
First of all:
I KNOW THIS IS TOO MANY FISH FOR A 150G TANK! (Hence the problem)
Ok, I have a incredible opportunity presented to me but I presents a big problem too.
I have a 150G fowlr tank with:
1 large damsel (has been with me the longest but super agressive)
1 small chromis
1 small blue damsel
1 tomato clown
1 small huma huma
1 porcupine puffer
1 dog face puffer
1 snowflake eel
I am able to buy:
8? Blue face Angel, 6? Sailfin Tang, 4? Emperor Angel, 5? Pyramid Butterfly, 4? Stripey, 2? Clark clowfish pair, 3? Blackback butterfly, 4 ? Convict tang, 4? Facula Butterfly & purple lobster as well as an orange and brittle star fish.
(So I did)
I have a month to move them and I would like to move some and sell some but right now I am not sure what to do. I def want to keep the Blue Face Angel and the Emperor...
Do you think I am taking on too much. My local fish guy says I will be ok but it seems like alot of stress to put on fish. And I know I cant keep the lobster or starfish...might as well call them lunch for my porcupine.
If I sell some of the original tank mates would holding on to these next fish be too much?
Is a month too short of a time frame?
Please, only helping comments, I wouldnt be posting if I knew that I was taking on too much.
Thanks!

I don't understand what you are asking. You know the problem so now you have to deal with it. There is no real answer except to get rid of some fish, That is the only answer unless you plan on upgrading. The clowns will most likely fight, both of those are aggresive species. I would get rid of the damsel or set up a smaller tank for just him if it means that much to you. The puffers get quite large and will outgrow that tank themselves. looks like you have 2 options sell or give away some fish or get a larger tank.

No, can't upgrade, wife barely wants me to keep this one! But my son likes it. Yes, I know I need to get rid of some fish, but is a month a long enough time to add/subtract fish without screwing up the balance of the tank. It is alot of fish! Which ones of my original would get along with the new ones (you did partially answer that, thank you) I guess I am just trying to be ultra cautious here.

the top 3 and possibly 4 and 5 will end up as food for 6 and 7 and maybe 8. You do realize that both of those puffers grow large enough to cleanly remove digits no problem and the top 3 fish will get large enough to still fit in their mouthes in pieces if necessary.
