Plumbing help!

dam i think im ganna need some professional plumbing. its getting very frustrating hearing my overflow flush every 15 - 20 minutes, i think im pretty sure i have looked into every solution to no avail. The water level in the overflow keeps going up and down (yes i did read what the durso site had to say). my flexible tubing into the sump is only about 2 inches below the water. and my pump is a mag 5 which is just right for the size sump i have which i believe is either a 20 or 30. if anyone local knows what they are doing in the world of plumbing i would gladly appreciate if you could help me out. will even throw you a couple of frags IF the problem is fixed

When I built my durso pipe it did the same thing so i drilled more holes in the cap(one at a time)till it flowed better.Hope this helps.

x2...when I had them I also had to drill the airholes larger for it to flow better

Have you tried raising the drain hose out of the water in the sump by an inch or 2?

im ganna keep testing with the size of the hole, thats the only thing i can really think of

going to make it like this so i can just twist to adjust

I was having the same exact problem and after trying so many different things I put a longer drain pipe into my sump so it just sits below my water line. Since then you can't even hear the water in the overflow.

pull the drain tube put of the water. make a bigger hole in the cap.

alright so i made the adjustable durso as pictured and so far so good, will give an update tomorrow night if it is a success or not!
