The site will be down for about 4 hours when we make the transfer. It will happen early one morning.

2x Intel Xeon DQC 32bit

Moving to 2x Intel Nehalem DQC 64bit

WHHHAAAAT omg i didnt know that. lol probably because i stopped being obsessed with computers all day and switched to fish but i will always have that natural computer love and thats what i plan to do for a living.

or you can use a mac pro and install the mac osx server on it.

This website runs on PHP and MySQL. Running it on a Mac Pro would make it twice as expensive and half as fast.

There is no need to use a Mac for hosting a website, it is the wrong machine for the job.

Going from IIS6 to IIS7 is a big step too. A lot of features are built into IIS7 that we had previously installed as third party modules. So it is more streamlined for one thing.
