Electric reef

What are everyones thoughts on these? I saw this article in a magazine I got this month and it really interested me that it says the corals grown on these both grow faster and are hardier. ORA is gonna have one of these in a few weeks :tongue1:

I think that this probably happens on some level in most aquarium just as a bi product of all the pumps, powerheads, lights, heaters, and all the other electric devices we use.

I think its great that so many countries are recognizing coral reefs for the resource they are and taking steps to repopulate them. Cool article, I have some friends (old coworkers from eddies aquarium in albany) that are now working at the florida aquarium that Im gonna forward it to. if they hit me back with any more info on the subject ill be sure and pass it along

I think these could definitely help in the restoration of some reefs if they really do make corals hardier.
