How about a regular place for MR to meet?

I have been trying to stock my VIRGIN SW tank and find out that I am running around everywhere in NY! Do you experience the same problem?

I have an idea and hope you guys support it so that me and others who seem have the same problem can meet more frequently.

I am taking every last Sunday afternoon to open my club up for MR members to trade so that they can bring their stuff all at once in one place and instead of running around like I have been driving from Long Island to Queens and Brooklyn all week!

That is I am offering just a place where you guys can finish your transaction in my Club 7 after you guys arranged everything on MR.

To me, I just want you guys to bring the stuff I wanna buy/trade to me instead of me going to you:sgrin: Of course buying a drink would not be refused either.:p

If no major reason to object this proposal, I will start it on Feb 26th.
12:00pm noon to 5:00PM

My Club is located at 6122 7th Avenue Brooklyn NY 11220

I will tentatively call it Monthly Exchange for MR-if MR does not want the reference of the word "MR", LMK.

Just talk to other people in the club. They all OK with the project, so it is a GO. The date is set. If you do have things to exchange... and the schedule fits the Feb 26th date, then swing by. Please post here so that ppl know what are you bringing there. Take note, I have no reefing supplies there, so you guys have to think of how to keep your stuff warm if they are LS. Also since there is no money in this thing, the bar can only provide couple tables to show your stuff. Equipment exchange would be more suitable and I am talking my club into letting you guys leave the EQ there in case the buyer did not show up. I can get buckets there but I have no RO/DI unit haha. One member has promised to donate a tank for the good course of this project to be used as a holding tank or whatever. Thanks.

It's a nice idea, but part of the fun in traveling around is to see member setups. Thats at least a part of it I enjoy. Seeing the equipment and all the other goods first hand. Thats just me though.

maybe you can set up a reef at your club? (behind the counter, bulletproof, etc)

that would prolly bring lots of trade/donation members to you, getting to see look at the reef, talk about swapping even more stuff, all while downing some booze :smokin:

Depends on whether Deep would accept my offer to bring his stuff to my club for pick up, I may change the date of the exchange to this Sat. LMK. and Stay tuned.

Most ppl indicates that this Sunday is a little too rush unless there are major pre-orders.

If I am going to go all the way to Brooklyn from my house I would rather go right to ronens house to see all of his stuff (and possibly buy more stuff too) then someplace else.
The beauty about going to someones place is to see their setup and to pick up some stuff as well as maybe see something else you like and buy that!!!

I'd go to a weekly setup meeting. It's not preventing you from driving around and looking at peoples setups on your own time. I work 6 days out of the week right now and if I could squeeze in a predetermined mini swap on a regular basis it would make my life that much easier. Also, if you live in the city/ LI/suburbs you are not far away (maybe you're just a softcore :fishhit: ).
