cant get Carpet Anemone to stick to anything

Had this green carpet for a week now and he will not latch on to anything like my RTBA does. Anyone have this same problem?
Could i stick a wood tooth pic thru its base or will that hurt it?
It just keeps getting pushed under rocks everytime i move him because there is just to much flow in my tank

leave it alone, it will find a place it wants to be, the more you mess with it or move it yourself the more you will stress it and chance of losing it

my problem it gets stuff in the rocks for days unit i move it, even in the LFS it did not catch on to anything??? just weird

Here's what I did and it worked: put it under one of those plastic produce baskets (the small ones that strawberries etc come in) with a bunch of rock rubble. Give it some food here and there and it'll attach within a day or two.

Lower the flow untill it settles in.
They realy dont like high flow .
Think of yourself in a wind storm having to hold on for dear life.

jarrett its not like a softie where if you put a toothpick through it it will attach.how big is the nem.if its tiny use a piece of PVC and put him inside or you can try that basket trick.put it in a medium flow area with good lighting though

Is it a gig or a haddoni?

Haddoni likes to be where the sand meets the rock, but on the sand.

Giganta like to be on the rockwork and will wedge its foot way inbetween the rocks.

so put it where you think it goes then a clear collander over it witha few rocks to hold it down and give it some time .

if its a gig you can put a rock in a bowl and then put the gig ontop of the rock and set it up so it doesnt blow out of the bowl. and it will attach. if its haddoni. its got to be on the sand.

this is my old gig ina bowl on a rock, for an example

Stop trying to force it to do something. Let it find its own place in the tank where it is happy. If it is just blowing around then you have too much flow. If it goes up into a rock you are going to have to get used to the fact that it is not going to sit exactly where you want it to be. Do NOT stick a toothpick through it unless you want to kill it.

Putting it in a container to attach to a rock is not going to solve the problem. If you take the rock and put it somewhere that it doesn't want to be it is just going to move again.
