I am proud to announce that Manhattan Reefs has been chosen to be the first club to join the Reefs.com family of communities.

Reefs.com is a system that allows clubs to be interconnected and share content from certain set forums or discussions. Basically, the threads in the "Global Forums" listed on MR are now serialized and shared with other clubs.

http://www.reefs.com

At the moment, we are the only club that is live on the platform, so all you see are posts from MR. I guess you can say we've hit the big time!

Since this is a shared system, all of your existing user accounts will work when logging into Reefs.com (which is the answer to the teaser we posted about why your MR ID is going to be really important this coming year).

Just to squash any potential rumors, nothing is happening to Manhattan Reefs. We remain the biggest and best online community in the Tri State area. You are free to stay on MR 24/7, or pop over to Reefs.com and see what is new. The cool thing about this system is that you'll automatically see any threads that are recommended by other clubs, and we can share our content to other clubs (so do your best to contain that NYC "enthusiasm" :) ).

A lot of things have not been turned on over at Reefs.com but you'll see some incredible content on the homepage.

As more clubs and reefers join Reefs.com, it's going to get really exciting!

So with that, I'd like to thank our hosts at Reefs.com for working with us to get all of our current content working properly. We're glad to be here and we promise to behave .

Kudos to Josh and the MR administration. Well deserved accolades abound.

Believe it or not, the congratulations belong to the entire MR community. Without the quality content, reefing knowledge, and respectful community MR is comprised of, the recognition of being the first to go global would not have been possible. So congratulations to all. Well deserved.

Russ

PS - The Reefs.com site looks great! Now for the International party!!

Where do I find info on reefs.com, like who operates it, where it's hosted, it's rules/regulations, etc? I just clicked on "Terms and Conditions" and got a page saying:

"Invalid page" and "The page you requested does not exist! Please check the address you want to visit. If you arrived this page by clicking a link inside this site, you may notify the Site Administrator about the broken link. Thank you!"

Is it a work in progress, or perhaps an early launch? I definitely like the look so far though.
