Aquatec 8800 booster pump - questions

Im planning to order it soon..

Do I really need pressure switch ?

I usually keep checking on 5 gal bucket till it's full , I turns it off..

Where to place it ? Before ro/di system or ?

I hooked it up with washer machine hoses cold line.

I don't have a float or pressure switch. I have a pressure gauge on my RODI though. I make my water while I am home and watch the bucket also. You place it before the RODI and after the faucet.

Its nice to have to shut off if you forget to.
Better than having to clean up a mess.

I use an audible water leak alarm. It has 2 leads that when they get wet, there is a loud beeping alarm like a smoke alarm. The leads are on a wire, and I put the wire about 6 inches from the top of my bucket. Once the water hits the leads, it alarms and I know to turn everything off. I never make water unless I am home.

Automated set ups must have redundancies to prevent floods, but stuff happens and redundancies fail unfortunately.
