and i dont now why?
I'm pretty new to the chemical route and don't know how to use my kits very well, or what would do what,
it has lost 2 heads, and i think a third is about to be gone.
Prior to this, It was 4 heads and grew to 6.
All my other corals are fine and getting bigger....

Hammer corals are very very hardy they can tolorate very high nitrates. You can not draw conclusion by observing the other corals. The only thing i can think of that can kill a hammer is pH off the scale .Are you dosing anything? Or over dosing ,or an animal of some sort killing it.

Hey Vic!
It is the one I got from you!
All other corals are fine and growing, and i just two other hammers (one is branching) split heads, so now i have two heads of those.
I have a sexy shrimp.....and im wondering if that has something to do with it.
I'll take pics tonight and post them. i think before the flow might have been heavy, but i've changed the direction since then.

if you are having a hard time using your kits try taking sample water to a lfs to help identify why this is happening also have you changed where the hammer was previously added rock or live stock but +1 you need to get water parameters up on here so people can have a better idea of whats going on also a pic would help as well gl hope everything works out

Also while your at the lfs ask if they can show you how to use your test kits

And stop dosing i have a feeling something is way too high as i stated above earlier.

i didnt get to the lfs today.
I didnt get significant growth till I started dosing.
I did change position of it, and it did fall in the sand.
Prior it was fine though......
another head released some filament today, and u can see it in the pics

it looks like it's releasing mucus in the pictures. The goo/jelly you would be looking for is dark red/brown, and on the stalks and skeleton of the head, but I don't see that, so that's a good sign! Like richie said, they could be dying because they aren't getting enough light. My hammer has a dead head on it because the heads above it spread out so much that they block all of the light. The colony has flourished for over 6 months (aside from that one spot), so there was nothing wrong with the coral.

However, falling in the sand will definitely put it in a bad mood, especially if it's already stressed. Leave it where it is for now, and let us know your water parameters (when you get them) before you do anything else to avoid unnecessary stress on the coral.
