Hmm well after looking at my options as far as nano cubes AquaPod seems to be a much better choice over the JBJ. I have head lots of complaints about JBJ with cracking glass to the lighting not working right. I stopped at the petshop in Mineola Reefs to Rivers or soemthing like that and he has a 24 gal AquaPod with moon lighting and PC lights for $230.00 Seems like a good deal?

Buy the aquapod but stay away from that store. I get nothing but complaints and horror stories about that place from service customers. I heard he has several pending lawsuits in regard to lighting places on fire from crappy halide setups and bad wiring. The aquapods are made by current so the lights alone make it better than the JBJ nano. 4 spectrums with better intensity as opposed to JBJ 2 spectrum... Plus the aquapod is setup for better filtration in the back and fits their nano skimmer which I can vouch for. It works, I put one together and plugged it in and it started foaming immediately and is actually very well designed for it's size. They also have a 70watt halide option $$.

got mine a few days ago, though it was my second (first came with glass cracked) this one is just fine. You will probably want to mod some stuff on it otherwise it's flexible enough to make simple changes.

The pump is pretty weak and builds alot of heat so I'm switching mine to a Maxijet1200, took out all the media it came with (sponges, bioballs etc.) and will be replacing it with LS and LR, Chaeto and a submercible halo light so I can do a fuge.

I'm using a Hydor Epik for heat and water movement in the main display tank with a Maxijet600, I may place the Hydor in the second compartment and just keep the 600 and the return for the display, not sure yet.

Otherwise I think it's a pretty good tank for what it is. You have flexibility to retro additional lighting (maybe another 64Watts with outboard ballasts) and if you're really a DIY person, you can even add a full fuge on the back of the tank....?

Anyways, I like this better than the JBJ and as far as design, it's pretty much the same look.

Good Luck

I think I saw one for sale in Ocean Encounter in NJ for less than $300 with stand. I thought that was the best price I've seen even online. But last time I check they all sold out. You can call them and ask for price. I am sure they can order one for you.
