Brooklyn Zoo and Aquarium has some seahorses in for a couple of weeks, including some babies that I think were born there. I dont recall the species but I think they were dwarfs.
careful, a lot of their stuff tend to be overpriced and not in the best health. dont count on their staff being too helpful either. just make sure you know your stuff before you go.
oh, and they wont give you prices over the phone, you'll be lucky if they even tell you if something is in stock.
but it doesnt hurt to pass by and take a look. as long as you know your stuff, you'll be able to identify what species it is and how to check its health and what is a reasonable price.
that's the problem i wouldn't know how to id a dwarf seahorse. or what's a fair price. i rather go somewhere else and pay more but get something healthy and speak w/ someone knowledgeable
Your so right.
I was talking to one of the guys and he said that the rack setup was a total mess and they could not clean it properly. Great for gobies and blennies but they started to 4 or 5 fish in one cube and also med sized regal angels at one point.
anyone know of any places right now that have a good selection of corals??? If not i am thinking about taking a ride to absolutely fish sometime soon.....:flower:
