I'm looking to replace my car stereo with a bluetooth capable one. I don't need a million watt receiver, or an 800 disc changer, I just want a decent receiver that I can use my phone with (I also want a front facing aux port).

I've been looking at the Sony MEX-BT2900. Any thoughts?

I prefer Pioneer. Cheap and reliable. You can buy one at BestBuy brand new for $100-$150 and that will include installation (At least when I bought mine). :) I've been using Pioneer Car Audio equipment since I was a punk in HS :lol2:

Thanks guys. The Alpines were a bit expensive and the Pioneer reviews were a little lower than the Sony, so I went with the one I was originally looking at after checking it out on crutchfield.com. It cost about $150 with tax.

I installed it myself in about 15 minutes, and so far it seems amazing.

Awesome bonus: My HTC Thunderbolt streams Google Music to the stereo, so I now have all of my music with me at all times!

Thanks for the replies, I took them into consideration, but the price and reviews led me to go with my initial pick.

Sony is a little better than Pioneer for sure so that was a good move since the price was good. Usually Sony's "quality" decks are more than Pioneer. I always considered Pioneer and Kenwood interchangeable (as an aside) except I like Pioneer speakers better. Good luck with it :)

I'll keep that in mind. I'll probably need to replace my front speakers. I think I have a tear in one. With the old receiver I couldn't really notice it, but with the new one I can hear it.
