Now don't get me wrong, I know that we can all be a little lazy sometimes.... but from what I see on MR... about 90% of posts are either put into the wrong forums... people are too lazy to look at vendor websites for goods and pricing.

We all cannot be princesses and get everything handed to you. Sometimes you need to break an egg to make an omelet. Get off your lazy high horses and do some research for yourselves. Has the internet made everyone so damn lazy that they no longer know how to do things on their own? I remember when you needed to call places and speak to a person to find out if they offered an item, or had an item in stock. Now you can easily check if a vendor has quantity in hand.. Can't get much easier than that.

I feel like as a society we lost all touch with dealing with people and would rather text and type vs actual vocal contact. Everyone "prides" themselves with wanting to support local vendors, when they wait for the vendors to contact them... WTF is that?!?!?! Vendors are just as much of a psychic as you.. but you must be more psycho thinking they know exactly what you want and when you want it.

So here we are after the holidays looking for "deals" from vendors and "wanting" products... and continue waiting for them. Cause we are too full from all of the holiday food that our fat asses don't know how to pick up a phone or look at their websites first.

If you wanted something that bad, you would have reached out and contacted them first.

Some people amaze me too- were on a forum that from admin on down to members that have been here for a while PREACH EXTENSIVELY for people to do some research then ask if you don't understand, putting HEAVY EMPHASIS on asking members here.

A lot of us learned from researching on the most part, but I remember how frustrating it was in the beginning when I didn't know any reefer "lingo" that the people who wrote all the helpful articles used typing in how I would explain things and the results that came up made me want to throw my pc in the snow and blast it with a 12 gauge.

I personally owe Russ (masterswimmer) a HUGE amount of thanks because he answered all of my questions and clued me in on how to phrase things to where my searches actually got results and needed answers and he didnt *****, not once out of the hundreds of questions I asked him that I could have read in a book. Maybe we should all be more like him?????????

I also live by the saying a smart person learns from their mistakes, a wise person learns from others mistakes, so bitching at people that ask people instaed of spending 3 hours on line sometimes searching for an answer that a member here can give them in 5 minutes after a thread being posted(even if it is in the wrong section) ever think it's not laziness but misinterpretation to where it should go? Kinda like people have stated this should have been in the nudibar in the waaaaaaaaa thread but no one bitched at you that it isn't.

Talk about possibly making new members NOT want to post and ask questions to better themselves as an aquarist.

Some people just don't know how to internet... :type:

When searching, use keywords and when you get hits that similar see how most people word it and use that phrase to search again.

At my job, I'm the highest tiered tech support and when the lazy techs sends me screenshots or error messages that I've never seen, guess where I go? I copy and paste their error message in Google and hits come up...

I must be very good at the internets.
