Westell are animals to tame. Best bet is set it to bridge mode, and let your Linksys (is it a Linksys?) handle the NAT/Port Forwards. What port is the Apex set to? Verizon is known to block port 80 (or any common ports for that matter) regionally.

Did that Widdy. The problem is I cannot even get internet access through the Westell. Set it up in bridge mode as per several website directions. Linksys sees the WESTY and I can see all devices on the LAN but WAN access is non existant. I have my MCSE and Cisco Certs....This shouldn't be THIS F******* HARD Lol. And I'm the second IT guy helping Jer.

I dont know the settings on the device you are trying to access but if you can change them you can try to go to the 7500's pre configures services for port fowarding set it to one of them then change the setting in the device to the ports that are preconfigured in the modem.

the port foward works but you need to play with it it is not as straight foward as it looks. I got it to work with my cameras but had to play with it.

When the Westell is in bridge mode, the Linksys shouldn't see it as an attached device as it's not acquiring an IP from the Linksys.

But if you exhausted all avenues, let customer service chime in. Those Westy are a PITA.

Lets back up a second....you can still smash it later :)

What port is the Apex set up for?
If you have the Linksys router already you don't need to use the Westell, the Linksys should support the PPOE connection on it's own.
