a few more pictures with the t5's on and lights at 25%/45% intensity. Pictures taken with cell phone. I really need to keep my good camera next to the tank at all times.

The purple in my sps is finally starting to come back after having some po4 issues in the 80g tank that they were in before moving over to the new tank. These pictures were taken with the standard lens (need to get a macro) on my EOS digital camera during the sunset period for the light. Some were take at the beginning of sunset and others were taken about half way thru sunset. I took a lot of pictures that will be used for month over month comparison shots.

So thanks to my good friends at Aquatic Obsessions in Avenel, NJ I made a few new additions to the tank yesterday. I picked up a pair of Japanese Swallow Tail Angels and a trio of Bimac Anthias. I spent some time this afternoon reading the owners manual for my camera and played around with some of the settings tonight. I was able to take some nice pictures of the Angels and some of the corals. The Bimacs are still a little camera shy.

Enjoy the pictures.......

How are you liking that light?

I really like the light a lot! Currently I only have the power set at 40% white, 60% all other colors and the t5's run for 3 hrs a day. The easier sps (caps, digitata and birdsnest) have very noticeable signs of new growth and the acros are just beginning to show signs of growth. I had the acros low in the tank while adjusting the lights and have them midway now. I am making adjustments on the intensity every 10-14 days so I dont bleach anything and I figure 7 days really isnt nearly enough time to gauge any kind of results from one intensity to the next. I dont think that I will get to 100% on the whites as they are really intense and with the supplementation of the t5's I think there will be enough light and par going thru the tank.

I posted par readings earlier in my thread. With the leds at 100%, the t5's on and hanging about 30" from the sand bed I was getting readings of 325-350 with all pumps running. The spectrum on this light really creates a natural look to it and the few people that have seen it first hand thought I had halides on the tank.

I have a couple of acro colonies that are really starting to take off both in growth and color but I can't seem to get good pictures of them.

Thank you! I am really happy with the growth and the light isnt even running at 100% intenisty yet. LEDS come on at noon and take 2.5 hrs to ramp up to 45% white and 65% all other colors. The t5's are on from 3-6 pm (will begin to expand that a little) and then sunset begins at 9pm with a 2.5 hr ramp down period.
