Zoas are probably one of the more finicky corals in our tanks doing strange things for no apparent reason. I find that the zoas considered 'deep-water' just melt away eventually in my tanks along with some of the other exotic ones![]()
The best success i have had is holding them in front of a strong powerhead for a few minutes and then putting them into a higher flow area. They will either finally open (give it some time) or finish melting away.

+1 on the zoas being finicky... They sometimes crap out and melt away. I dip them and then put them in an are with more water movement and then they usually open up again. Good to here the Gramma is back to normal.
