RBTA hiding inside a cave?

Yesterday I got the bubble tip he stayed out in the open for a few hours then decided to go up in a cave where I can barely see him is this normal? Clowns don't seem interested at all they're not tank bred clowns, how should I feed him? And will clowns still host it in there possibly?

IMO, it looks very bleached out, if it's a RBTA! where did you get it from?

There is no guarantee that your clowns will take to it, even if it was healthy.

Got it from a LFS had no flow and little lighting and was crammed in. A 5 gallon tank figured I can bring him back to life a bit

Looks in really bad shape.
I would take it back and get a refund. Seriously.

A RBTA should never be that color and if that tank is a newly set up as it looks you are more than likely going to lose that coral.

Even a healthy anemone should not be put in a tank that has not matured for a few months.

I have a Sebae anemone thats been in and out of a cave for months now. He stays near the opening, sometimes fully exposed, sometimes all the way in. It host a pair of Maroon clowns. Yours may just be adjusting to the light. Give him a chance but keep a close eye on him in case he goes downhill fast.

I have 2 in different tanks, one has been out in the open for over a year and the other stay under a rock or you may say cave and only stretch out when the light is on. I also have 2 clowns that host it whenever it comes out for light. Give him some time if he don't like it there he will move but he do look bleached out. From the pic you shouldn't have any problem feeding him. I don't feed neither of my RBTA and they are both healty.

Called them its not a RTBA it's just a bubble tip it's starting to get more color I hope it'll be ok

It was extremely transparent in your first picture.

Many anemones like to keep their foot in the shade buried within a rock and yours may well be doing that. Just leave him be for now and don't mess with anything (flow/lighting) with the tank and keep your water parameters spot on.

What kind of power head/s do you have?

Can you give us some info please...
How long has the tank been set up?
What kind of lighting do you have and how long do you run them each day.

3 10k t5 and 3 6.5k actinic

I run t5 from 8am to 6pm and actinic from 6pm to 12

Tanks been up 2 months but do tests daily no parameters have moved always at 0

Are you sure that actinic is 6.5K? Tell us more about the bulb please.

That's a lot of hours to have bulbs on. Are you out at work during the day and then want to be able to look at the tank when you are home in the evening? You might want to consider starting your lighting cycle later in the day.

How about Calcium..Alkalinity..Magnesium parameters?

Not sure on the actinic there standard ones that came with it t5 ho 54 watts and yeah that's why I ran em so long got em on a 12 hour timer now haven't ran those tests in a bit using rodi water so figured they would be okay ill check

6500 is not actinic...but either way those lights are on a long time.

If the tank has only been up 2 months, how have you not "ran those tests in a bit"?

those light are running too long i run my tank at night for this reason am never home during the day my tank come on at 7:30 pm to 5:30 am and this works best for me cause in the summer its less heat to deal with plus i get to look at my tank when am home also leave the anemone if its healthy it will take a little while to get comfy if it loose its footing then u know something is wrong with it then at that point u want to get it out or tank my be in the red zones gl with it and hope things work out
