I wished i listened to the older reefers and not used any of these products. Stick to the basics and keep an eye on mag,alk and cal and maybe add some bacteria. Other then that leave everything alone. If i listened and wasnt thick headed i could have saved alot of money :)

I hear you, I was thinking the same after using Zeovit. I think I'll stick to my water changes and Probidio. After all, it has been working great for me. I'm chasing after bright colors, I'll leave it alone. Thanks duke.

Full zeo is VERY expensive if you have a large tank say 75 and up. If you do zeo go all or nothing and follow all the instructions. Doing certain zeo supplements is not worth it

+1, u need dosing lots of stuff, almost every day, u need time and $, there r many ways to control Bacteria and filtration , much easy.

Fuel is basicaly an algae named chlorella and some vitamins.
Chlorella is found on freshwater and is rich in protein, fats and although used in many products for humans, i have never read of proven benefits in regards to corals.
Many people like it, i have used it and as with most additives in this hobby, found no results to show any real benefits. I think this is some sort of thing that if added regularly, will build up until you start seeing algae which feeds on excess nutrients. Again, many here might disagree and swear by it. I honestly have noticed my tank has done its best when i did not touch it doing 10%wc weekly with a good salt and feeding the lps 1 week mysis shrimp. I know this is not what most want to hear as it sounds boring, but chances are if you follow this routine most likelly your tank will be a success.

Im yet to read proven data of any food that benefits sps. It is known 15% of their diets come from foods(outside photo), but i have heard rotiffers, and other foods are ingested but not digested by these corals. I rather stick to Ca/alk/mg/ water changes.

LPS needs feeding to attain their best growth and health IMO. Granted light will keep them well, but the best ones ive seen were fed. If only light was enough, they wouldnt have digestive systems.

Simplicity is all that is needed, however companies need to make the money, so they come with more and more products without real proven benefits.

Sanmanreefer, what was your experience with Zeovit?did it work for you or no?,I'm thinking of going full zeo on my new build, what do you say?.

Zeovit works but you need to be on top of it and not miss a dose. I couldn't go on vacation because I was afraid the tank would crash and the person watching my dogs/tank wouldn't do it because its tedious ( a few drops of this, a few ML's of that, etc..) it is expensive as well, I was spending about 200 per month so I decided to stop then when I stopped my tank almost crashed. I wouldn't do it again. Hope that helps.

You're welcome, I've been doing 10 gallon water changes twice per week (Sundays and Wednesdays) for a total of 20 gallons a week and I'm seen great results. I also change the socks twice per week and change the carbon in the reactor once a month. I'm feeding very heavy also, twice per day. I think I'll continue with that, I have tons of salt anyways and it only takes me like 10 minutes to change the water. I'm not dosing anything at the moment and I don't think I need to at the moment, all the parameters are pretty good so far. Nitrates and phosphates are undetectable which is a good thing. The 80 rimless is doing great, it looks amazing. I'm very happy with it, my wife and the kids love it so that's a win/win if you ask me. Hope this helps.
